STATS Ready to Change the World of Baseball Training

One of the things I love about my job is the opportunity I have to learn about other businesses in a way I never would any other way. When we work with a new client our team gets to know not only the people involved, but also the company, it’s goals and sometimes even a new industry or facet of an industry that is new to us. Over the years, I have learned about the inside workings of turf farms, a winery, a dairy, political campaigns, government agencies, turf equipment, custom home building, banks, medical offices, heart pine harvesting and more. And now, sports training equipment – specifically, baseball training equipment.

The people associated with STATS Intl, Jason Womack, Walter Lentz, Susan Driscoll and Dill Driscoll, launched their company’s new product The FIX, this week with a clinic in Jupiter, Florida at the World Wood Bat Tournament. The FIX is a training tool designed to correct incorrect foot movement and placement during the baseball swing. I think The FIX will turn out to be one of those best- sellers that people will think “why didn’t I think of that?” when they see it. Walter is the one who did think of it – all in an effort to help his son overcome picking his foot up/incorrect placement during his swing. Once he connected with the rest of the team, the idea became a reality…and they are showing off the tool this weekend to baseball aficionados.

Our team is pleased to be a small part of the kick-off with the design and launch of their web site and e-commerce store. The core site features a video library the team will be working to populate as they travel around to baseball events and holding clinics across the country. Both the blog and the video library have tagging functions which allow our client to enhance Search Engine Optimization on their own – clients seem to love this and in today’s online marketplace, it is crucial.
