Valerie has over 20 years of experience in the field of marketing and public relations. She founded The Big Picture in 2000, with two goals: providing comprehensive marketing and PR services and helping clients understand their own “big picture” for truly sustainable results. A combination of solid theory, creativity and real world practicality is her trademark approach to solving marketing and public relations challenges.
Before starting her own business, she was Director of Marketing and Business Development at a regional medical center. During her tenure she managed the following areas: Public Relations, Business Development, Marketing, Media Relations, Fundraising, Events Management and Physician Recruitment. Valerie obtained her undergraduate degree from the Henry W. Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia and a Master's in Communications Management from Syracuse University.
Kim has over 10 years of experience in photography, graphic design and web design. After receiving her undergraduate degree from the College of Architecture at Auburn University, she obtained a masters degree in photography from the School of Art at the University of Georgia. Kim was a photojournalism faculty member at the Henry W. Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia before teaming up with The Big Picture in 2001.
Kathryn brings a passion for graphic design, photography and art to The Big Picture – with a solid skill set to match. She is a recent graduate of Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia with dual Bachelor of Art degrees in Advertising/Marketing Communications and Studio Art. Kathryn is also a member of Alpha Delta Sigma, the Wesleyan College Chapter of the American Advertising Federation
