SEO for Websites: A Success Story
Posted on Jan 11, 2012 by Valerie Touchstone
We recently completed an SEO project for a new client’s existing website. A few simple changes have already moved the site’s organic listings from pages two & three to page one for several primary search terms! While there are ongoing actions that will need to happen to maintain and keep improving, it is exciting to see the initial positive results.
The process? For starters, we conducted key word research to determine which search phrases people use most frequently when searching for our client’s services. Then, we added relevant copy and key words tags to the news/blog section, added and updated title tags, page tags, metadata & photo tags – all based on the keyword research. We freshened copy on the home page and created a Google Maps and Places listing using the most relevant key words.
Viola! Improved organic listings for this client’s website.

Great SEO Tips. How can a freelancer effectively use Google Maps & Places since we don't have an office to see clients? Would you recommend using your home address?
